AIG Direct suspends their affiliate program on Commission Junction … temporarily …hopefully
Received this early Friday morning from Dan Fink, Affiliate Directory for AIG – AIGdirect.com – which is run through the Commission Junction affiliate network.
It sure has been a tough week for the financial sector – including AIG, as I briefly noted in that 7 figure government bail-out package for AIG. Perhaps that’s why Mr. Fink is mentioning that the affiliate program suspension is only for the next 7 days…
It also applies to the 21st.com insurance quote affiliate program which provides auto insurance to people in the state of California.

Subject: Please Take Down aigdirect.com advertising immediatelyDear Robin Majumdar,
I’m sure you are aware of what has been going on with AIG in the financial sector. Unfortunately, this is having an effect on our affiliate program and we need to ask you to please pause any advertising you have up for aigdirect.com and 21st.com.This is NOT permanent, we hope that it will only be for the next 7 days and then we can turn everything back on. If you have any questions please don’t hesitate to get in touch with me at ***@**********.com.
Thank You!
Dan Fink
aigdirect.com Affiliate Director
Hopefully they will make it through, financial and insurance services affiliate programs are always quite lucrative and generous albeit extremely competitive.
