Well after several years of parking domains only at Sedo, I finally bit the bullet and moved a small sample of domains over to Parked.com … SEDO is the far bigger player in terms of name recognition primarily because they handle a significant number of aftermarket domain name sales.
My experience parking clients’ domain for revenue has been far less than lucrative over at Sedo. Granted, many of these domains are specialised and don’t get much traffic (according to Sedo traffic reporting stats) but the ones that do generate such a dismal amount of net CPC that it wasn’t worth keeping them there.
I haven’t moved the whole portfolio (!) over to Parked but a few things I really like already about Parked :
The one thing I noticed up front that seems to be lacking is that Parked.com doesn’t seem to support (very well) non-English domains… all parking page ads appear to be in English.
I’ll write an update after 90 days on Parked.com….
