Asus has really had a sort of coming out as having technically sound products (especially LCD panels and laptops) and their P527 PDA GPS Windows Mobile 6 SmartPhone for $399 down from $499.
The sweet thing is that this Asus P527 Smartphone is unlocked and can be activated on the plan of your choice with any GSM provider … for example Rogers in Canada. Note that Bell Mobility explicitly mentions that they will not activate non-Bell phones on their network.
This is a true world phone… quad band support means you can take it to Europe or Asia and simply swap in a SIM card from a European or Asian cellular service provider and not pay (scary) international roaming fees!
This is a solid deal for a solid product - GPS included… nothing quite as nice since Dell put out the Axim X51V… except maybe the HTC Touch or the elusive iPhone.
