Aluratek 10.5″ ADMPF110 LCD Picture Frame
Well… $139 for a 10.5″ 1024×768 pixel resolution Aluratek LCD picture frame that has 256MB of built-in memory, support for SD, CF, MS, MMC, and xD flash cards… and MP3 and AVI video ? This is a great price for a super Christmas gift idea… I’m not so sure I would watch videos on this type of screen (but if I could, why not!)
Make sure you get the 10.5″ frame at $139 and not the 7.5″ frame also on sale today - big difference between the two.
The Engadget review by Darren Murph was quite positive and it’s nice to see Dell offering it at $139 - I’ve seen similar sized frames for $220-250 at Costco as recently as 4-6 weeks ago.
Westinghouse TX-47F430S 47″ 1080P HDTV
A 47″ 1080P flat panel TV with a 3 year warranty for $1449. Eh oui, c’est en plein ca. Dell has the Westinghouse TX-47F430S 47″ 1080P HDTV for $1449 down from $2128 and is offering it with a 3 year warranty. When was the last time you saw a TV come with a 3 year warranty - without having to pay separately for one of those scamish extended warranty plans?
Westinghouse is now the number two panel seller world wide (just after Vizio)… and while this set is not the state of the art Sony Bravia or Sharp Aquos quality range, it is no doubt a great set for the money. I would never buy a TV whose image I have not seen live and in person, but if you have and liked the performance … you won’t find a 47″ 1080P anywhere for less with the same specs and warranty.
