Breaking news (thanks to Phil at Skype division at eBay for the headsup…) eBay is buying Stumble Upon…. Pricing estimates have not been fully finalised or release, but it appears to be between US$43-65M …

The news is racing over at TechCrunch and the usual serious M&A news sites (including GigaOM)…

Interesting… another Web 2.0 acquisition…. but *eBay* ? What are they gonna do with this? Perhaps for the technology of Stumble Upon – which is a Digg like social networking or more social commentary site…

Oh I know… so that Google doesn’t get them – for loose change.
