Well, this is old news sort of (about 1 week) but GoDaddy .info domain name registrations for $0.99 per year is offering .info domain name registrations for $0.99 per year - instead of $9.99! They don’t require any coupon code or extra purchase of their 12,933,221 other services.
Mind you, they automatically enable “automatic renewal” and bundle a few “free” features (blog, whatever) with the domain registration. That’s fine, but remember to disable these automatic renewals (for the domain name itself or for free features or services) if you don’t want a surprise recurring bill on your credit card. Ahh, capitalism.
I got a few dozen .infos over the last couple of weeks; lots of good .info names are still available, or even recently dropped.
